Weusi Ltd is a Black-led, limited by guarantee, not-for-profit organisation, created by award-winning cultural leaders to promote, advance, support and empower Black African and African-Caribbean Professionals, using Arts, Culture and Creativity, as a tool for social engagement and advancement, and the democratisation of education, through programming that engages and benefits the public, particularly members of the Melanated community, enhancing cultural understanding and diversity across and beyond the sector.

    EXECUTIVE CREATIVE DIRECTOR

    Nyasha is an award-winning, multi-disciplinary artist, poet and creative consultant; she is also an activist focused on positive change, with more than two decades' corporate experience delivering for national and global brands at senior and C-Suite levels. Nyasha offers cultural sector business consultancy, and is a Master Neuro-Linguistic Programming Practitioner and executive coach.

    Nyasha was highlighted as a leading regional Black senior leader by the Office of Andy Street, Mayor of the West Midlands in 2019. She was also acknowledged as one of the leading 50 UK professionals working within Equality, Diversity and Inclusion by PricewaterhouseCoopers.

    Nyasha is a prestigious Clore Leadership Fellowship (2022/3) alumnus and was one of 15 Cultural Leaders developed as part of the legacy of Coventry City of Culture 2021/2.

    Currently, Nyasha sits on West Midlands Combined Authority Creative & Cultural Strategic Advisory Group (previously the Cultural Leadership Board) and the Coventry Compact, Coventry Culture Works. She is also a Trustee Director of leading socially-engaged arts organisation, Take A Part.
